1. Audit
We had to audit and turn our existing visual language into an organized system. Analyze the components of the existing design and group them to see the differences
2. Explore Design System
We wanted to take the best practices out of these great design systems and see how they organized and displayed their content. As different aspects of design require different guidelines, catering to the requirements of each design aspect ensures that the design language across the entire company is kept consistent.
3. Identify team sources
Distributing tasks and responsibilities across the project team will help ensure the success of the project. Teams of highly identified members are also better able to make efficient use of available resources.
4. Define visual foundation
After researching on other design systems, We circled back to list down patterns and components we would need based on our research and filter labels. Define what best design based on their function.
5. Build components and patterns
The end goal of the discussions was to design each component with its properties and states, as well as establish its usage guidelines. For each component discussion, we reviewed its use cases on Figma and researched on best practices.
6. Publish Figma
Once the component is successfully created, we publish it into the Figma library so that it can be used in various projects by all team members. Can increase productivity by saving time and effort
7. Maintain & evolve
Continue to make improvements in the infinite process to keep this UI KIT relevant and consistent
