In response to the evolving landscape of digital learning, the LMS Boleh Belajar is undertaking a critical initiative. Presently, a significant 43% of our users access the Learning Management System exclusively via mobile phones. Recognizing the paramount importance of user experience and accessibility, our project is dedicated to crafting a mobile-centric design for the LMS. Our primary objective is to elevate the learning journey by creating an intuitive and responsive interface tailored specifically for mobile devices. Through this endeavor, the LMS Boleh Belajar is committed to providing seamless learning experiences for all users, irrespective of their chosen device. This undertaking holds the potential to enhance engagement, foster retention, and drive overall educational success.

RESEARCH

Requirements: The process initiated with a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives. Collaborating with stakeholders, educators, and learners helped gather insights into the features, functionalities, and goals of the LMS.

Brainstorm: Engaging in brainstorming sessions allowed the design team to generate a wide array of creative ideas and concepts. This fostered innovation and enabled the exploration of novel approaches to enhance user experience and learning outcomes within the LMS.

Benchmarking: To ensure competitive advantage and a deep understanding of the LMS landscape, a benchmarking phase was conducted. This involved researching and analyzing existing LMS platforms to identify best practices, innovative features, and potential areas of differentiation.

Wireframe: The wireframing stage involved translating ideas into low-fidelity prototypes. This laid the foundation for the layout, navigation, and user flow of the LMS. The focus was on achieving intuitive user interfaces that catered to educators and learners alike.

Design High Fidelity: With wireframes approved, the design transitioned to the high-fidelity stage. Here, the visual elements were brought to life, including color schemes, typography, imagery, and interactive components. Attention to detail was crucial to create a visually appealing and engaging LMS interface.

Feedback: At multiple junctures throughout the design process, feedback was solicited from stakeholders, educators, and learners. This iterative feedback loop allowed for the identification of potential usability issues and design improvements based on real-world insights.

Handoff: As the design matured, it was prepared for handoff to the development team. Comprehensive design documentation, assets, and style guides were created to ensure a seamless transition from design to development. Clear communication with developers ensured the fidelity of the final product.

Conclusion & REFLECTION

In conclusion, the design process of LMS Boleh Belajar was a resounding success, resulting in an enhanced learning platform that drove higher user engagement and satisfaction. My contribution as a Junior Product Designer was pivotal throughout. From user research to wireframing and high-fidelity design, I shaped an intuitive and visually appealing interface. By incorporating feedback and iterative improvements, I ensured the design met user needs effectively. Through meticulous design documentation, I facilitated a seamless handoff to the development team. My collaborative approach and dedication to enhancing user satisfaction through design adjustments played a key role in achieving increased Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT). My efforts have made a lasting positive impact on LMS Boleh Belajar, fostering an empowering learning environment and a culture of excellence.
